Round-Up for RMHC at McDonald’s

Since we opened our first Ronald McDonald House in 1974, our founding mission partner McDonald’s has helped support RMHC in various ways. We are especially grateful to have the opportunity to fundraise in restaurants around the world. Last year, customer donations to RMHC helped to provide over 750,000 overnight stays to families with sick children. This year, we are excited to announce a new way for customers to donate to provide even more overnight stays for the families we serve:

Customers can Round-Up their order total to the nearest dollar when placing an order at the counter, in the drive-thru or on the kiosk at participating McDonald’s restaurants. Thanks to McDonald’s and people like you, we are able to continue to keep families with sick children together when they need each other most.

Share-A-Night

Help provide a “temporary” home-away-from-home for families throughout the Southern Appalachian region who stay at the House.

Wanting to give a more personable gift? When our families need a sudden safe, nurturing environment in order to focus all their energy on their child, one of the most gracious gifts is ‘Share-A-Night’. We have created this beautiful offering to be one in which you can contribute to the stay of one of these families.

Your donation of $10 covers the requested nightly contribution for a one night stay for one family. An average stay per family is 7 nights. Your donation of $70 would cover a one-week stay for one family.

Others Ways to Help

  • Collect pop tabs – Collecting pop tabs is a great way to teach kids about philanthropy and the importance of recycling while raising funds to help children and their families at the same time. Some of our fellow Chapters have raised thousands of dollars with their pop tab collections – up to $30,000 even.Look for special RMHC pop tab collection containers in the shape of a house at schools, community and civic groups, and other local organizations in your area. You can also contact a Ronald McDonald House near you to ask about getting your own house for collection.
  • Host a fundraiser on Facebook for the House
  • Shop on Amazon at smile.amazon.com and select the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House as your charity of choice for the House to receive a portion of the sales from your purchase
