We are turning 25!
Since opening our doors in 1996, the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House, it’s staff and volunteers, have lovingly embraced thousands of families who have children being treated for serious illnesses in area hospitals. Our goal from the beginning has remained constant – to have families feel secure in a loving home environment.
Our Houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal, or where they will lay their head at night to rest. We believe that when a child is hospitalized, the love and support of family can be a powerful healer.
As we celebrate our 25th birthday, we are grateful to all of those who have helped support the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House throughout the years. It is with your support and dedication that we are able to continue our Mission of providing a “home away from home” for families with seriously ill children being treated in local hospitals.
You can help us celebrate too!
On October 23, we will turn 25 years old. Over the coming year we will be sharing special memories, stories, and photos from the House’s history so you can celebrate along with us and all of the families we have helped over the years. You can also show your support for RMHSA with an exclusive 25th anniversary T-Shirt through our birthday fundraising campaign. This fundraiser directly benefits the House and our guest families, and the adult unisex shirts are available in blue and come in sizes S-3X.
