Criteria to be a Guest

  • Fax referral from a medical professional/social worker after child is admitted to hospital of choice
  • Child must be between the ages of birth – 21 years, living with & dependent on parents
  • Reside 25 miles outside the city limits of Johnson City
  • Priority given to children and families living a greater distance of 50 miles
  • Valid (current) picture identification (driver’s license, state picture ID, military ID, VISA or Passport)

Ashley, Christian, and Kobe Butler

  • 10 bedrooms with private baths
  • 14,000 sq. feet
  • Kitchen, laundry, TV/play rooms are common areas shared by all guests
  • Cost to house a family per night $68 - $75
  • Guests are asked to contribute $10/night
  • No one is ever turned away because of an inability to contribute
  • Families are able to continue their day-to-day lives as much as possible during a difficult time
  • Average length of stay per family: 13 days
  • Located in Johnson City but regional in services
