About Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc.

The Charities is:

• 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization governed by a board of directors
• Responsible for the management of the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House
• Responsible for hiring an executive director and house manager who oversee the day-to-day operations of the House
• Not funded annually by any organization/company/corporation but is fully responsible for raising all funds to support the yearly budget
• Supported by the local McDonald’s Restaurants and McDonald’s Corporation through special events/fundraisers
• Supported through fundraising events sponsored by groups/companies throughout the Southern Appalachian region
• Supported by private contributions/donations

Mission

To provide a “temporary” home-away-from-home for children and families of seriously ill children receiving medical care in any local hospital.

Vision

To be recognized and supported regionally for the care and support given to children and families of children throughout the Southern Appalachian region.
